A (Not So) Spooky Halloween
Costumed figures in the streets, a crisp breeze through the dark evening, cars with special features — it isn’t a comic book, it’s Trunk-or-Treat! With nearly 20 cars and more than 15 games, not to mention the more-than 200 kids that came and had a great time, Halloween at Taylorville UMC was a great success. While the candy and games and awesome costumes were all part of the fun, though, what we are most thankful for was that we had the opportunity to connect with our neighbors and our community and create a place where they could come together and enjoy themselves without any concerns. At the end of the day, our only hope is to create a community where the love of God is shown to everyone around, and I know that this Trunk-or-Treat was certainly a demonstration of love.
