Regina Noland

Traditional Worship Director

Regina is a lifelong Tuscaloosa resident and is married to Butch Noland. They have two adult daughters and one grandson. She received a BS in Music Education and a MA in Educational Leadership from The University of Alabama. Noland retired from the Tuscaloosa City Schools in 2011 after 38 years. During her tenure she taught Elementary Music, primarily at Woodland Forrest, Verner, and Rock Quarry. She served as Arts In Education Supervisor, overseeing Visual Arts, Drama, Band, Choral and General Music for the school system from 2002-2011. She was honored in 2011 by Yale University by being selected as a Yale Distinguished Music Educator. In 2012 the Alabama Music Educators Conference named her Music Educator of the Year. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Tuscaloosa Ballroom Dance Club, Tuscaloosa Children’s Theatre, and the Tuscaloosa Symphony Guild.

Regina’s long service in music ministry began as a teenager leading the song service at First Wesleyan, and includes 21 years there as Music Director leading the adult choir and children’s music. Beginning in 1993 she served in Children’s Music, the orchestra, and as soloist. In 2007 she joined the staff at Taylorville United Methodist where she has found a wonderful new church home.

One of Regina’s greatest experiences with God is her journey through breast cancer in 2006. It was a time of drawing closer to God, strengthening of her prayer life, and reevaluating priorities. As a 12 year survivor, she continues trusting God for the victories in her life.
